United Family Services has partnered with Global Refurbishment Company of Miramar, Florida in an effort to recycle used cell phones in a unique program that is good for the environment, United Family Services and its domestic violence clients.
Cell phones will be collected at various United Family Services offices in Cabarrus, Mecklenburg and Union counties. The phones are then sent to Global Refurbishment, which gives a donation based on the number and type of phones collected.
So, clear out those drawers, glove compartments and closets and dig up those cell phones you no longer use. Then take the phone (no accessories please) to the bin at one of the locations listed below so it can be refurbished and put back into circulation while simultaneously supporting an important service to the community.

Any phone produced within approximately the last five years is of value. As a general guideline, the phone should be no larger than six by three inches. *No accessories, please. |
